Hi.

Thanks for checking out my "Six-Panel Music Blog," Wannabe. I hope you enjoy it and make sure to stop back every Wednesday for new album reviews.

A Brief Hiatus for Wannabe(Completed)

A Brief Hiatus for Wannabe(Completed)

(Revised May 2nd: The hiatus is over and Wannabe is back and rejuvenated.)

Dear Wannabes,

Instead of writing a new comic today, I am choosing to address you directly. Due to an incredibly rough start to 2017 that has included the loss of loved ones, financial stresses, home life changes, and other random personal on goings, I’ve decided I need to take a short hiatus from Wannabe. My plan is to take the next couple of months off as I regather myself and try to alleviate some of the stresses that I’m currently experiencing.

I hope that you will all understand that this has not been an easy decision to make. I love making Wannabe and interacting with fans and musicians alike. The problem is, sticking to a deadline right now is not helping my stress levels and I can feel the quality of my work and health slipping. It seems a far better option for me to allow myself some time to heal and come back rejuvenated, rather than to risk putting out an inferior product and trudge through.

So with this said, my plan is to relaunch sometime in May with a new outlook on my world and a stronger better Wannabe. Though no new comics will be coming out, I’ll still be listening to music every day and drawing as that has always been my life. I hope to build up a back catalog of review material so that I can hopefully play a bit of catch-up upon my return, possibly reviewing more than one album a week. This is a huge year for music and I’m not going to let myself or the fans of the comic down.

Thank you for understanding that I need to do this for myself. Please feel free to still send your recommendations and music my way as I will still be working in the background. I’m hoping that when I relaunch I’ll have some surprises in store for everyone including new prints, coloring books, merchandise, etc. This year may have offered some setbacks at the start, but that’s just going to push me to work that much harder.

With all my heart,

Chris
